7-Run 9th Eliminates Augie Baseball

MAGNOLIA, AR – Southern Arkansas rallied for seven runs in the top of the ninth inning Saturday to defeat Augustana 13-11, preventing the Vikings from reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball World Series.  South Arkansas swept the Central Region championship two games to none.

Tanner Brown struck out seven in seven innings for Augustana (47-13-1).  Carter Howell hit his second home run of the series for the Vikings and drove in four runs.   Will Olson also homered.
