VERMILLION – White River’s Louie Krogman is among this year’s inductees into the Henry Heider Coyote Sports Hall of Fame at the University of South Dakota.
Krogman was among the first players to play four basketball seasons at USD at the Division I level and is the sixth-leading scorer in program history with 1,644 points. His 292 career three-pointers are second in school history. He averaged 16.8 points per game as a senior and was in the top 10 in the Summit League in three-pointers, assists and steals in 2011-12. In Krogman’s sophomore year, 2010, the Coyotes won the Great West regular season and tournament titles.
Krogman, South Dakota high school basketball’s all-time leading scorer with 3,521 points, will take over as the White River School District superintendent in July.
