South Dakota Tourism working to expand destinations into Tribal and agricultural areas

While tourism overall is a big industry in South Dakota, there is potential to expand to some of the state’s lesser known locations.

State Tourism Department Secretary Jim Hagen says they have been working with the Native American Tribes in developing travel destinations in their areas.

Hagen says some of their efforts are starting to pay off.

Hagen says that will be a big first step.
