RAPID CITY – After being chased through the first day, the Brandon Valley Lynx pulled away on Friday to win their third consecutive Class A boys team title at the SDHSAA State Wrestling Championship at the Summit Arena at The Monument.
In Class B, the Canton dynasty continued. The C-Hawks won their sixth straight team championship and seventh in the last eight years.

Brandon Valley won in Class A by 24 points over Watertown, 208 ½ points to 184 ½. Pierre was third with 182. Trevon Oheme, Jordan Oehme, Alex Mentzer, Trason Oehme and Navarro Schunke all won individual championships for Brandon Valley, with Mentzer and Schunke completing undefeated seasons.
Deegan Houska gave Pierre a state championship at 160 pounds. Houska won a 10-6 decision over O’Gorman’s Keenan Sheridan in the championship match.
