SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State Women’s Basketball trailed after the first quarter Saturday, but later pulled away for an 87-59 win over St. Thomas in a quarterfinal game of the Summit League Women’s Basketball Championship at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Myah Selland scored 15 to led the Jackrabbits (27-5), who have won 19 straight games. Paige Meyer scored 14 points and Brooklyn Meyer tallied 11.
St. Thomas (13-18) led 18-14 after one quarter, but SDSU began the second quarter with a 12-2 run and led 40-29 at halftime, then by 17 after three quarters.
South Dakota State will play in the first semifinal on Monday afternoon against the winner of Sunday’s quarterfinal game between South Dakota and Oral Roberts.
