Tanya Tucker made history at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday by showing up on HORSEBACK.
It was the same black stallion she rode through downtown Nashville in April after she made it into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Historians say that in 97 years, it’s the first time anyone’s ever ridden a horse on stage. (Here’s a photo and a video.)
Her new album “Sweet Western Sound“ came out on Friday, and there’s a horse on the cover. So that’s why she did it. It’s the 26th studio album of her career.
She did a full set, including three new songs from the album. She opened with “Kindness”, her first single from it that came out back in April.
