Railroad track work to cause temporary street closures this week in Pierre

Two sections of street in Pierre will be closed this week to accommodate railroad track replacement.

Today and tomorrow (Oct. 2-3, 2023), Poplar Avenue will be closed between Sioux Avenue and Pleasant Drive. Properties on the north side of Sioux Avenue will maintain access via Sioux Avenue.

Wednesday through Friday, Central Avenue will be closed between Pleasant Drive and the railroad tracks just south of Pleasant Drive. Truck traffic should detour to Garfield Avenue.
