As part of Public Power Week this week (Oct. 1-7, 2023), students at Oahe Child Development Center in Pierre had a special story time yesterday (Oct. 4, 2023).
City of Pierre Lead Lineman Brandon Lounsbury and Journeyman Lineman Tanner Christopherson read “If I Were a Lineworker” and other books to three different groups of students. At the end of the day, each of the students received a copy of the book, information about reading programs at Rawlins Library and a Public Power Week coloring sheet. The students can bring their coloring page back to the school and will receive a free lightbulb.
Free light bulbs are available to the general public by going to Pierre City Hall this week.
