Student attendance and academic achievement.
Pierre School District Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt says those are two of the school board’s focuses this coming school year.
Last month (May 8, 2023), Glodt told the school board that overall attendance for the 2022-23 school year was lower than it was before COVID. He encourages parents to talk with their students– of all ages– about liking school and about what education will mean to the students and their futures.
