Severe weather moved through much of South Dakota and the region Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning (June 9-10, 2026).
National Weather Service Meteorologist Kari Fleegel says the weather system covered multiple states.
Fleegel says the National Weather Service hasn’t received much information as far as storm damage– yet.
With a 20-ish degree jump in the forecast high temperature from Monday to Tuesday, then back down 20-ish degrees for Wednesday, Fleegel says forecasters knew conditions would likely lead to severe weather.
