Herreid/Selby Area is one of three new number one teams in the South Dakota High School Football Media Polls, released Monday.
The Wolverines, who defeated Timber Lake in their season opener, rose to number one in 9B after previous number-one team Dell Rapids St. Mary lost.
For the first time in the second year of the program, Sioux Falls Jefferson is on top of the 11AAA poll. The Cavaliers defeated previous number one and 2021 champion Harrisburg.
West Central is the new number one in 11A.
Pierre, Winner, Howard and Canistota stay at number one in their respective classes.
