ABERDEEN – Belle Fourche finished one point ahead of Chamberlain for the 2023 South Dakota State High School Clay Target League’s skeet shooting tournament team title. The event was held Friday through Sunday.
Belle Fourche scored 468 points, one more than Chamberlain’s 467. Winner/Colome finished third with 437. Stanley County was fourth with 419. Pierre had 396 points for seventh.
Wyatt Mortensen of Stanley County scored 99 to win the overall and male high gun varsity titles. Colin Mayer of Chamberlain was among those who scored 97.
In the novice division, Pierre’s Kaylee Blauert was third among females, scoring 53.
Colton Cass of Pierre won the junior varsity male high gun honor with a score of 90.
