SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Lyman Raiders will likely be playing the first high school boys basketball game in South Dakota in the new year on Saturday when they take to the Heritage Court at the Sanford Pentagon Classic on Saturday. The Raiders are slated to take on Remsen St. Mary’s bright and early with a 9:30 tipoff in the first of nine games that will be played in the event, which will also feature Dakota Valley and DeSmet, the current top ranked teams in Classes A and B, respectively. Two other Iowa teams and one from Fargo, ND, will be featured as well. Lyman is off to a 3-1 start on the season and will host Timber Lake in a girls/boys double-header this afternoon.
According to Sanford Media Relations, due to Covid-19 protocols, tickets will not go on sale to the general public. However, each school will have an allotment of tickets they may distribute. Masks are required for all spectators. Fans will be able to watch all of the games from the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic for $9.95 on the new Sanford Pentagon video portal powered by Stretch Internet.
