BROOKINGS – South Dakota State shot well inside and outside Saturday in an 92-63 victory over Western Illinois at Frost Arena.
The Jackrabbits (8-3, 2-0) shot 53 percent from the floor and hit 11-of-21 three-pointers. Noah Friedel led five SDSU players in double figures with 25 points. David Wingett scored 15, Douglas Wilson had 14, Baylor Scheierman scored 11 with 11 rebounds and Alex Arians also had 11.

BROOKINGS – Behind a career-high 29 points plus 11 rebounds from Myah Selland, South Dakota State improved to 2-0 in the Summit League Saturday with an 87-66 win over Western Illinois at Frost Arena.
Selland registered her seventh career double-double. Tylee Irwin added 16 for SDSU (9-3, 2-0).
The Jackrabbits will next play at Omaha Friday and Saturday.
