NORTH PORT, FL – Matt Shoemaker pitched two-and-a-third scoreless innings Friday in his first spring training start for the Minnesota Twins, who lost 4-0 to the Atlanta Braves.
Shoemaker had two strikeouts and didn’t allow a hit or walk. Keon Broxton doubled and singled for Minnesota (2-4).
The Twins will play the Boston Red Sox Saturday in Fort Myers, Florida.
