SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota advanced to its eighth Summit League Women’s Tournament championship game in nine years Monday with an 81-55 semifinal win over North Dakota State at the Sanford Pentagon.
Liv Korngable led USD (18-5) with 20 points, shooting eight-of-11. Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb scored 18, 16 of which came in the first half, including three three-pointers.
The Coyotes will play for their third consecutive NCAA tournament berth on Tuesday against Omaha. The Mavericks, who shocked top seed South Dakota State on Saturday, defeated fifth seed Western Illinois on Monday 69-55.
