SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota won its second straight Summit League women’s championship and earned its third straight NCAA Tournament bid Tuesday with a 66-43 win over Omaha in the tournament title game at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.
Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb led the Coyotes (19-5) with 17 points on six-of-10 shooting and hit three three-pointers. Lamb was named the tournament MVP. Liv Korngable and Maddie Krull each scored seven points.
After Omaha rallied to cut the Coyotes’ lead to one point in the second quarter, USD started a 28-7 run that lasted into the latter part of the third quarter.
Korngable and Hannah Sjerven were named to the all-tournament team.
South Dakota will learn its NCAA Tournament opponent on Monday.
