FORT MYERS, FL – Matt Shoemaker allowed just a run in four innings Thursday in his second spring training start as the Twins lost to the Boston Red Sox 5-4 at Hammond Stadium.
Shoemaker allowed three hits, including a home run, and struck out one. Outfield prospect Alex Kiriloff homered for Minnesota (5-5).
The Twins will host Atlanta in Fort Myers on Friday.
