FORT MYERS, FL – Nelson Cruz hit his second homer of the spring Monday as the Twins topped the Atlanta Braves 4-2 at Hammond Stadium.
Cruz hit a two-run home run in the third inning off Atlanta starter Kyle Wright. Andrelton Simmons and Ryan Jeffers drove in runs for the Twins in the second inning.
José Berríos pitched four and two-thirds scoreless innings for his second win of the spring. Berríos struck out six, walked three and allowed just two hits for Minnesota (9-10-1).
The Twins will face the Pirates Tuesday in Bradenton, Florida.
