BRADENTON, FL – Willians Astudillo hit a two-run homer Monday as the Minnesota Twins held off the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-3 in a spring training game at LECOM Park.
Astudillo’s shot came in the second inning as he improved his spring average to .385. Jake Cave had an RBI triple in a two-run fourth inning for Minnesota (11-15-1).
On Tuesday, the Twins will conclude their spring training schedule by hosting Pittsburgh at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Florida, before heading to Milwaukee for the regular-season opener Thursday against the Brewers.
