ABERDEEN – Scott Svendsen has been named as the new football head coach at Aberdeen Central.
Svendsen is native of Eureka and a Northern State alum. Since 2011, he has been the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Alvarado High School in Texas. His first job in coaching was at Aberdeen Central before he coached in the United Kingdom, then Texas. He was an assistant coach for two state championship teams at Katy High School in southeast Texas. He was a head coach at Ranger, Texas for two seasons in the 1990s and for Morton Ranch in the Katy district in 2008.
