The Pierre Street Department will close part of Dakota Avenue at 8am on Monday to begin reconstruction work.
The affected stretch of East Dakota Avenue is from South Buchanan Avenue to South Garfield Avenue. The road will close to through traffic and is scheduled to remain closed through June 21.
During the same time frame, South Garfield Avenue from East Dakota Avenue to South Park Street will be closed to all traffic. The closures are to accommodate the complete rebuild of South Garfield between East Dakota and South Park.
