MANHATTAN, KS – 22nd-ranked South Dakota State started slowly Thursday and couldn’t recover, losing at Kansas State 62-53 in women’s basketball for their first loss of the season.
The Jackrabbits trailed by 18 points at halftime and by as much as 20 in the third quarter.
Myah Selland led SDSU (3-1) with 15 points. Paiton Burckhard scored 13.
South Dakota State will play Saturday against Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
