FORT MYERS, FL – Miguel Sanó capped a five-run second inning with a two-run single Sunday as the Minnesota Twins won their spring training opener over Boston, 7-6 at Hammond Stadium.
Both teams played before fans for the first time since spring training was halted last March as the COVID-19 pandemic stopped all North American sports.
The Twins will play defending American League champion Tampa Bay in Port Charlotte, Florida on Monday.
