VERMILLION – South Dakota women’s basketball celebrated Senior Day with a 81-61 win over North Dakota State Sunday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Hannah Sjerven scored 24 points with 12 rebounds, five blocks and four assists. Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb scored nine her her final home game and tied the Coyote program record by playing in her 123rd consecutive game.
USD ended the regular season at 12-2 in the Summit League and is the second seed for the Summit League Women’s Basketball Championship. The Coyotes will play Oral Roberts Saturday at 2:45 PM at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.

North Dakota State used a 23-6 second-half run to defeat South Dakota men’s basketball Sunday 89-77 and deny the Coyotes the Summit League regular-season title.
Stanley Umude scored 39 points with five three-pointers and Tasos Kamateros scored a career-high 22, as the Coyotes tried to make up for the loss of A.J. Plitzuweit, who injured his knee in a win over NDSU on Saturday and is out for the season.
USD was 11-4 in Summit League play and will be the second seed in the conference tournament. The Coyotes will meet seventh-seed Western Illinois Saturday night in Sioux Falls at 8:45 PM.
