The second season of the All Nations Football Conference will open Friday, with Cheyenne-Eagle Butte and Lower Brule taking part in the seven-team league.
This is the second season of the league, formed to promote interest in high school football in South Dakota’s Native American communities. Crow Creek won the first championship over Lower Brule in 2019. This season was pushed back from fall to spring and its teams are limited this season to only seven due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each school will play five regular-season games in six weeks through the second weekend in May. Semifinal games will be on Friday, May 21, with the championship game on Thursday, May 27, the day before the start of the SDHSAA Track & Field Championships.
