Works by artists from Pierre and Fort Pierre are among the 13 new pieces added to the Art for State Buildings program.
The pieces were purchased from a pool of 54 applicants from across South Dakota.

Pieces acquired this year will be installed for public display in July, but which building each will be displayed in has yet to be determined.
The Art for State Buildings program was created in 2008 for the purpose of showcasing the work of talented South Dakota artists and to build a permanent state art collection in publicly accessible areas of state government buildings in Pierre.
