PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – Carlos Correa hit his first home run as a Minnesota Twin Tuesday in a 4-2 spring training loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Charlotte Sports Park.
The Twins’ new shortstop, who recently signed a three-year, $105.3 million contract, hit a long solo home run to left field in the fourth inning.
Luis Arraez drove in the other run for the Twins (4-8) with an RBI double in the first inning.
Bailey Ober struggled in his third start this spring, allowing two runs and four hits in three innings while also walking three and striking out two.
Minnesota will host Pittsburgh Wednesday at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers.
