The rising cost of food is hitting everyone, but for some organizations, inflation is a critical issue.
Stacey Andernacht is with “Feeding South Dakota.”
Andernacht says they depend on donations from large food companies.
Andernacht says inflation is causing some of their larger partners to cut back on their purchases.
Andernacht says they now have to look for cash donations along with food drives to keep the food shelves stocked. Feeding South Dakota has warehouse locations in Pierre, Sioux Falls and Rapid City. It serves surrounding communities by making regular deliveries with its mobile food trucks.
