GREEN BAY, WI – The Packers are glad to have Tucker Kraft and they are proving it.
Kraft, the former South Dakota State tight end and Timber Lake native, has signed a four-year, $5.54 million contract with the Green Bay Packers, who drafted Kraft in the third round of the NFL Draft in April.
Kraft’s signing bonus of $1.27 million is guaranteed, so the rest of the money is contingent on him making the team. If he does, his base salary would be $750,000 in 2023, $951,000 in 2024, $1.2 million in 2025 and $1.455 million in 2026.
Making the team doesn’t appear to be a concern for Kraft, who already has impressed during rookie camp for the Packers. He is competing with Oregon State rookie, Luke Musgrave, a second-round pick, for the starting tight end job. Kraft had earlier said that he would be willing to play as an H-back and on special teams.
