BROOKINGS – Pierre Governor Soccer came away from Brookings Thursday with a win and a draw.
The tie came from the Governor boys, who tied the Brookings Bobcats 2-2 at the Fishback Soccer Complex. Pierre is now 2-4-2 and winless in their last four matches.
Pierre’s girls broke their three-match winless streak and a long goal drought with a 4-0 win over Brookings. This match was scoreless until Katie Hostler put in a rebound in the 47th minute, the first goal for Pierre (5-2-1) in 294 minutes, since August 29th. Natalie Flottmeyer then scored in the 64th and 68th minutes, with Alyson Hutchinson rounding out the scoring in the 71st. Emlyn Swanson made five saves in net.
